At Kirkbride Bridge, community mediation is offered free of charge to the California Community via Zoom with a focus on family mediation. We also offer reduced rate mediation at $100/Hr. for community issues. Our mediators generously donate their time because we believe access to resolution should never depend on income.
Conflict doesn’t have to mean confrontation in court. We can help you settle your dispute quickly and respectfully through mediation — no courtroom, no judgment, just resolution. Whether you’re an individual, family or small business, if you find yourself in a dispute, mediation can help you resolve it peacefully.
Common Situations We See
- Family disagreements – divorce, child custody and care, elder care issues, sibling or parent-child conflict
- Neighbor or Community – noise, pets, property lines, shared spaces
- Roommate or housing issues – rent, repairs, or shared-living disagreements
Not sure if mediation is right for you?
Here are some answers to frequently asked questions that may help you decide:
Is family mediation really free?
Yes. Thanks to our volunteer mediators who donate their time, most simple divorce mediation is provided free to participants via video conference. We make peaceful resolution accessible to everyone — because no one should be priced out of peace.
How do online mediation sessions work?
We hold all sessions via secure Zoom video conference. After scheduling your mediation, we send you a private meeting link with simple instructions to join. Online mediation saves time, eliminates travel and allows everyone to participate from a comfortable environment.
What if my situation feels too complicated for mediation?
Many people view their situation as too complicated for mediation but mediation often resolves issues where conversations stall. Our mediators clarify issues, create safe space, and guide everyone toward fair solution.
What if the other party refuses to participate?
Because mediation is voluntary, both sides must agree to participate. But we can reach out on your behalf to explain the process and invite the other party to join. Often, once people understand how mediation works — and that it’s confidential, neutral and free — they’re willing to give it a chance.
Mediation resolves a wide range of conflicts before they escalate. Kirkbride Bridge Mediation offers calm, neutral, confidential guidance. Our goal is to help people communicate more effectively and reach practical, lasting agreements in a respectful, private setting. We believe understanding bridges gaps and helps create peace.
How do I get started?
It’s easy. Just give us a call or an e-mail and tell us about your situation. We’ll review your information and get right back to you!

Take that first step toward peace
